Sooooo in case y’all were wondering, age doesn’t mean SHIT. #sorrynotsorry
I can’t tell you how many times people come up to me and tell me I have it easy, of course I look good, I’m young! 🙄 Age has got NOTHING to do with it girlfriend! Oh yea, and aging BACKWARDS is a REAL THING 😍 25 years old on the left. Swollen, enflamed, uncomfortable, self-conscious, LOST, unhealthy, exhausted ALL the da...mn time. Something was always going wrong and it was never MY fault🙄🤷🏼♀️ 27 on the right. Clear skin, Long healthy hair, tons of energy and passion, LEAN and rarely bloated, FKING HAPPY and PROUD of ME. 🤩🙋🏼♀️ Y’all I didn’t do this on my own. I had my coach family backing me up cheering me on, loving me through the tough days, believing in me when I didn’t have anything left in me to believe in myself. I have all of YOU. Coaching is the best form of accountability. People are relying on me. People are looking to make changes and they are looking to ME to know how. Now if THAT isn’t a reason to show up every day and try my damn best, I don’t know what it. Helping women change their lives is my passion, it fills me up. But what people don’t realize is that coaching also allowed me to change my OWN life. I want to pay it forward, I want you to love your life, find your purpose, and FEEL incredible doing it. I’m opening up a few more spots in my coach mentorship program. You don’t need to be fit, you don’t need to know what you’re doing (I’ll teach you everything you need to know), you only need to want to be BETTER (not perfect, cause that’s boring) and be willing to show up every day WITH me. TOGETHER. Message me to save your spot alyssadanfitness@gmail.com 👯♀️❤️📩📲 Let’s do this babe, it’s YOUR time!

We are taught that health is eating clean and exercising daily. YES this is part of it but only PART of the picture! We can spend countless hours in the gym working out and load up on all the veggies in sight and STILL not be healthy or reach our physical goals.
The missing link? Mindset. Our minds and our souls need to be fed, nourished and exercised just as our physical bodies do. We need to engage in activities that push us to grow and learn about ourselves and do things that fill our heart and souls with FIRE. Our minds and our bodies do SO MUCH for us every single day, they need some rest and love in return to keep going and help us reach our goals, whatever they may be. Our hearts need to be full to make us feel light and full of love to give us the positive mindset and natural energy required to be our best selves. I have worked with so many women who feel as though they are at a plateau in their fitness results. 9 out of 10 times, the only thing holding them back is mindset. In a results based world, it's important to note that in order to achieve the best results, often times, you have take a step back and practice some self care and love on yourself a little bit!!! When we see our friends and family stressed, burning out, overwhelmed, and tired, we encourage them to take care of themselves so WHY is that SO HARD to do for ourselves? Here are some ideas I've come up with to practice a little self-care that do not include working out or eating vegetables! I've linked some of my go-to products that I use ALL the time to help you out if you feel like you don't even know where to start! Enjoy and soak up the moment, you DESERVE it! xoxo 10 Ways to Take Care of Yourself that are NOT working out and eating salads! 1. Brush your teeth every morning and every night 2. Drink water immediately upon waking 3. Apply a moisturizing lip mask 4. Read a good book 5. Have a solo dance party! 6. Try a new eye cream in your routine 7. Use an acupressure pillow to relieve physical stress (I lay on this literally EVERY evening after sitting at my desk all day and it is my SAVING GRACE - I use the brand Bed of Nails, linked below!) 8. Moisturize with a delicious scented lotion 9. Meditate/ reflect/ express gratitude 10. Send someone some snail mail and make their day! All my favorites in one place. Enjoy!!!
Healthy fats seems to be a hot topic right now. MCT Oil is a product I've recently fallen in love with! Why?
So, what exactly is MCT Oil? “MCTs” are medium-chain triglycerides, a form of saturated fatty acid. MCTs, also called “MCFAs” for medium-chain fatty acids, are believed to be largely missing from the diets of people eating “standard Western” diets, most likely because the public has been led to believe that all forms of saturated fats are potentially harmful. (Dr. Axe, Food is Medicine) This is a gross misconception and there is a huge amount of research and data over the last few years proving the mental and physical health benefits of incorporating healthy fats into our diets in the correct fashion. (If you'd like to talk about this more, shoot me an email, I'm happy to share with you what I've learned!) MCTs are a top source of essential fatty acids because of how easily they are digested. In other words, MCTs are burned by the body as energy fuel instead of being stored as fat!
So what are the best ways to incorporate MCT oil into your daily routine? It is odorless and flavorless, so it is easy to use in cooking or even to just drink a tablespoon plain! My two favorite ways to consume it are a tablespoon in my morning coffee to get my brain fueled up and ready for the day first thing, or to blend it into my daily superfoods Shakeology shake! The possibilities are endless!
(Before making any changes to your diet, always have a discussion with your Dr.!) *See the links below to try all my favorite products mentioned in this post! I'd love to hear if you've had a great or informative experience yourself incorporating MCTs into your life in the comments below! |
